- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI): This party is currently the ruling one, under its leader Imran Khan but has difficulty to maintain a well-running coalition of government.
- Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N): Nawaz Sharif's party continues to be a major opposition, albeit divided.

The country stands at an interesting crossroads in its history with Pakistani politics is facing huge threats that needs to turn into joint responsibility efforts.
